IOOF is pleased to announce that the new IOOF MultiSeries range of funds have been awarded a ‘Recommended’ rating from Zenith Investment Partners.
IOOF MultiSeries is a new range of low-cost, predominantly active multi-manager funds, launched in October. This rating is another great endorsement and it underpins the IOOF Investment team’s ability to continue to construct quality multi-manager investment solutions.
Zenith highlighted in their ‘Recommended’ rating report, that the inclusion of alternatives and direct property is a key point of differentiation for the funds. Specifically Zenith commented that the IOOF MultiSeries range provides an attractive trade-off between active management and cost.
Commenting on the ‘Recommended’ rating, Steve Merlicek, IOOF Chief Investment Officer, said: “While our new IOOF MultiSeries funds are low-cost we weren’t prepared to compromise on diversification, we saw the inclusion of direct property and alternatives as important contributors to achieve strong risk adjusted returns for our investors.”
Zenith also commented on IOOF’s investment philosophy underpinning the funds is to combine active asset allocation with an efficient blend of active and passive management strategies, delivered in a cost effective manner. To achieve this, Zenith reported IOOF intelligently uses a range of active, factor-based and passive strategies, with a bias to active strategies.
Mr Merlicek added “using the full toolkit of active, factor and passive strategies within each asset class allows us greater scope to target our manager fee spend into those strategies where the evidence shows we can expect a strong return for each dollar of fee spent.”
With the introduction of the new IOOF MultiSeries range, IOOF now offers two multi-manager solutions, so investors and advisers have more choice. For investors who don’t want to compromise on active management, IOOF MultiMix continues to offer the fully-active premium multi-manager solution.
