Centrepoint Alliance will host its annual Professional Development Conference for paraplanners, administrators and support staff in Melbourne from February 23-24, 2017, with this year’s conference open for the first time to support staff outside the Centrepoint community.
The two-day educational workshop is the only event dedicated specifically to the professional and personal development of financial advice support staff.
Soula Cargakis, Distribution & Marketing Executive, Centrepoint Alliance, said the two-day event is part of Centrepoint’s commitment to helping advice practices continually improve the quality of their advice and service.
“The event is structured to boost productivity, performance and inspire attendees to transform their ideas into tangible and strategic plans to improve overall business efficiency and performance,” Soula said.
“We are a client centred profession and a quality client experience depends on all staff understanding a practice’s values and vision, and working together to deliver its value proposition.
“Support staff are crucial to making this happen so it is vital to bring them on the journey.” Innovus Advice Managing Director, Paul Wright, said he had been sending a team member to the
conference since its inception two years ago.
“It is not just the conference content, but also the peer sharing aspect which makes this event so valuable,” Paul said.
“Last year the debrief from this workshop took two days! My team member came back with pages of the ‘5 percenters’ which we have implemented into our business, and which have transformed the way we do things.
“This year it is time for a new team member to attend, and I can’t wait for the positive impact that a fresh set of ideas will have on my business.”
Professional speaker and motivator, Tony Wilson will kick off the conference with a session titled Re- Wiring Performance: Performance and Productivity. Originally a performance coach for elite athletes and sporting teams throughout Australia and the USA, Tony works with individuals on managing their own performance and productivity.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from one of their peers, Belinda Marley-Wallace, Practice Manager from Evalesco Financial Services, and Centrepoint’s team of technical specialists will provide case studies on current advice issues and best practices.
There will also be plenty of opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing and socialising with like- minded peers.
Registrations for the Professional Development Workshop are now open.
