The Investment Committee is thrilled to announce their upcoming inaugural Brisbane-based portfolio construction event, which will offer a dynamic blueprint for the creation of portfolios for advice professionals.
The Investment Committee will offer sessions on philosophy and beliefs, asset class long-run views, portfolio construction, and manager selection. Expert speakers will deliver the sessions. Currently, confirmed speakers include AFR’s Smart Investor Blue Ribbon Award winner Olivia Engel of State Street Global Advisors; Associate Professor Robert Bianchi, Griffith University; Dr. Don Hamson, Plato Funds Management Portfolio Manager; Vimal Gor, Head of Income and Fixed Interest BT; David Wright, Managing Partner Zenith, Dan Miles, MD and Joint CIO Innova Asset Management; and John Barton, CEO of MGD Wealth.
The Investment Committee is being spearheaded by Michael Furey, owner of Delta Research & Advisory, and Brooke Berry, a former Colonial First State Business Development who has transitioned into advice.
At the conclusion of The Investment Committee, a suggested investment portfolio will be unveiled based on delegate interaction. Utilising technology, all attendees will be able to provide input and inform the discussion throughout the day. Furey adds

The upcoming event, which is already receiving strong interest locally as well as interstate, will be held at Victoria Park Golf Club in Herston on Thursday December 8, 2016, from 8am – 5pm.
