AZNGA subsidiary, Wise Planners, has entered into a binding agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Domane Financial Advisers (DFA). DFA is based in St Leonards and advises over 1000 personal clients and over 2000 Corporate Super members. The firm has over $212m of FUA and is licensed with Charter Financial Planning.

DFA’s origins date back to 1965, with the retiring principal Therese Stanton driving the business since 1998. DFA provides a range of financial advisory services including retirement planning, investment, insurance, SMSF, estate planning and strategic financial planning advice, and also has a strong Corporate Super offering for small to medium sized business.

Wise Planners joined the AZ NGA network in October 2015 and is led by CEO Gareth Hall. According to Gareth “this is a logical step for Therese who is looking for a succession solution for herself and her staff & clients. DFA shares similar values to Wise Planners including a focus on service, and client best interests. There is also great synergy between Wise Planners and DFAs Corporate Super offering. Wise Planners joined AZNGA in order to accelerate our growth plan. This deal represents the first significant step in achieving our growth objectives.”

AZ NGA CEO Paul Barrett says “When proprietors enter into arrangements with AZNGA, it is not only to solve their long term succession, but to enable growth. Gareth has an ambitious plan for growth which in partnership with AZ NGA he is able to achieve.”

According to Gareth, “AZ NGA’s unique partnership with Azimut Holdings enables its subsidiaries to enter into Merger & Acquisition discussions with the confidence of knowing that if an acquisition makes sense financially and culturally it can be executed with certainty.”

After the deal Wise Planners will be responsible for over $707 million of FUA.
