Adrian Ashton will be joining AZ NGA from Monday as GM Financial Planning. AZ NGA has experienced strong growth and is well ahead of its business plan. As AZ NGA grows it aims to ensure that it continues to cultivate a community of sharing and that AZ NGA can develop business solutions that help its partner firms with growth, efficiency and profitability. Adrian will be responsible for creating opportunities for its firms to achieve this.

Adrian has worked in senior roles in advice, strategy, operations and sales in financial services across Australia for many years. He completed his Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney, and Joined Legal and General Australia in 1997.   From an initial start with a Life Insurance company, Adrian joined the advisory side of the industry with Professional Investment Services in 2000. He then became Senior Manager Dealership Services for St George Bank Financial Planning in 2003, and worked closely with transition of a number of Bank planners from salaried (St George) to self-employed (Securitor). Whilst also conducting over 200 client presentations on Financial Planning.

Adrian worked as the NSW state manager of Leveraged Equites, from 2008 to 2011 against the back drop of the GFC, purchase of the Macquarie Bank Margin Lending business and the significant reforms in the Margin Lending industry.

Since 2011 Adrian has been working for AMP as both a Capital Manager and Director of their Licensee Advice, Mergers and Acquisitions group and has been involved in the purchase, sale and ongoing management of a number of Financial Planning business.

Adrian has also completed a Masters and Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
