BetaShares, a leading Australian ETF manager, has further expanded its portfolio management and distribution teams with the appointment of Chamath De Silva as Assistant Portfolio Manager and Adam O’Connor as Manager – Distribution.
Mr De Silva will provide support to the portfolio management function of the business, bringing global insight and expertise to the business with almost a decade of experience working for the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Most recently, he worked as a Senior Analyst for RBA’s International Financial Markets in Sydney. Prior to this, he worked in London as a Senior Dealer in Investments, and within the RBA’s International Department.
Mr O’Connor joins BetaShares from Bell Potter Securities, where he worked as an Associate Adviser with a focus on ASX-listed equities and ETFs.
The two new appointments come as the ETF industry continues its strong growth trajectory and follows on from BetaShares’ recent launch of a series of exchange traded funds.
