The IFAAA has just announced the theme of the 2016 annual national Symposium, and this year it is, “The Road to Professionalism”. Taking place in Brisbane this year, this is the third annual Symposium for the Association whose membership comprises genuinely independent and conflict-free financial advisers.
“Being conflict free, we believe, is the just the starting point to being a professional”, says IFAAA President, Daniel Brammall. “And this year’s Symposium will unpack just what it takes to become recognised as a genuine professional in this industry”.
Inviting speakers from other different industries who will share their perspectives on being a professional, the Symposium aims to uncover what benefits an adviser can expect to flow to them by being part of a recognised profession.
“We believe a vast mindset difference exists between financial advisers who call themselves professional and those who the public, the media and the law regard as professional”, says Mr. Brammall. “So we have called on professionals from other industries to impart their knowledge and explain what they’ve learned as they relive their walk down the road to professionalism.”
The Symposium will be held at the Mecure Hotel in Brisbane on Friday, 28th October and is best suited for financial advisers who are seeking clarity on how to be recognised as truly professional as well as up-and-coming financial advisers who want to start their career as impartial professionals.
