Life insurer AIA Australia has launched an executive wellbeing program based on its highly successful AIA Vitality program among a group of Australian financial advisers aimed at enhancing their business value and personal effectiveness as business owners.
The AIA Australia Executive Wellness Program is a 12 week behavioural coaching program to help financial advisers improve their personal health and wellbeing, as well as the health of their business and their clients’ wellbeing through a lifestyle and wellbeing value proposition and advice offer.
The program features a series of workshops presented by leading experts in their field covering personal effectiveness and productivity, business strategy and value and client engagement solutions.
Practice owners will learn strategic leadership skills to enhance the value of their business, such as how to make smarter choices about growth through better strategic conversations, how to recognise and play to their strengths and how to integrate different thinking styles of people in the business to create innovation and new perspectives on current business challenges.
Advisers participating in the program will be guided through the process of designing their client segmentation model, developing a client value proposition and integrating a lifestyle and wellbeing framework into their service offer.
AIA Australia’s Chief Retail Insurance Offer, Pina Sciarrone, said the initiative was aimed at supporting financial advisers to build more valuable businesses and develop innovative client engagement offers, while becoming more effective at work and enjoying a healthy and happy professional and personal life.
“Financial advisory practice principals face significant challenges in running a small business, including adapting to regulatory change, new technology and competition. As a dedicated financial adviser today it can be easy to forget your own health and wellbeing while helping clients achieve their financial wellbeing.”
Ms Sciarrone said it was exciting that advisers on the program can gain access to the health benefits offered previously only to clients of AIA Australia through the AIA Vitality Program that rewards policyholders for healthy behaviours with discounts on a range of health and lifestyle products.
Practice principals will be coached by AIA Australia’s Vitality Coaches Monique Le Roux and Sasha Carey to adopt regular healthy habits in exercise and eating in the same way clients experience the benefits of the AIA Vitality program, including daily use of a wearable health monitor.
The AIA Australia Executive Wellness program is being trialed nationally until mid August and will then be assessed for its impact for a national rollout in 2017.
