Leading superannuation technology solutions provider Link Group today launched a smart phone superannuation fund app, enabling members to manage all aspects of their superannuation account on their mobile phone.
The mobile app offers fund members full access to their superannuation account, in real time. With the app, members are able to view and transact on the go, with all transactions updated live into the core administration platform.
The app encourages members to engage with their fund on a more regular basis and provides members with more choice in how they interact with their fund.
Recently listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: LNK), Link Group administers financial ownership data and drives user engagement through technology. The app is developed by Link Group’s Information, Digital and Data Services division, and is available for clients of Link’s Fund Administration division both as a white label product and a bespoke solution, with the team at Link able to develop customised apps for funds that wish to enhance their member experience through a tailored user experience.
A key feature is the ability for superannuation funds to send push notifications to the member’s mobile via the app. This gives funds a new way of connecting and engaging with their members through one of the most important communication channels – being the member’s own mobile phone – and literally puts superannuation into the hands of members.
Commenting on the launch of the new app, CEO of Information Digital and Data Services at Link Group, Paul Gardiner, said the app is another example of how superannuation funds can act innovatively to reach their members.
“Live mobile access is one of the key ways for funds to make superannuation more accessible on a daily basis, therefore encouraging more frequent member interactions and engagement.
“Today’s users expect to be able to access everything in the palm of their hand including super fund account balances and transactions.
“With Australians becoming increasingly dependent on mobile technology, the smart phone is one of the best ways to engage with a superannuation fund member. Link are developing mobile products such as our app to help funds engage with their members in real time, and make superannuation more relevant in the member’s daily life,” he added.
