BGL adds web-based deeds to service

Administration software company BGL Corporate Solutions is now extending its self-managed superannuation web-based deed-establishment service to clients of its Simple Fund 360.

The service enables users to establish an SMSF and update existing SMSF deeds and supporting documents with help from Melbourne-based law firm, DBA Lawyers. It has been available to clients of BGL’s Portal solution for five years.

DBA Lawyers’ SMSF specialists review and sign off on each SMSF deed.

According to BGL managing director Ron Lesh, the group offers the first automated SMSF document solution to be fully integrated with any SMSF administration software.

“We have taken our five years of knowledge and experience to build something exceptional for clients,” he said.

BGL’s Simple Fund 360 software administers approximately 75 per cent of Australia’s 508,000 SMSFs with assets over $350 billion.

More advisers, not product distribution, key to fixing advice gap

More advisers, not product distribution, key to fixing advice gap

Moves by super funds such as AustralianSuper to establish advice capability risk blurring the line between product distribution and quality professional advice. Fixing the advice gap means ensuring that more, appropriately qualified advisers are available to deliver advice to Australians, regardless of where they seek it.
