As a co-founder of Perera Crowther Financial Services, Sam plays a central role in providing our firm’s clients with strategic financial advice, primarily focused on risk management through insurance. Sam utilises his extensive experience and market insights to customise insurance solutions for both individuals and businesses under our guidance. With a track record of delivering trusted advice, Sam has served a diverse clientele, including prominent figures in sectors such as medicine and law, earning recognition for his expertise and dedication to client satisfaction.
Since establishing his business in 2005, Sam has leveraged his extensive experience to contribute meaningfully to the financial services industry, particularly through his involvement in regulatory reform efforts. He has authored papers and actively participated in lobbying endeavours concerning critical initiatives such as the Future of Financial Advice reforms and the Life Insurance Framework.
Sam’s expertise has garnered recognition from parliamentary committees, where he has offered testimony before prominent bodies including the House Standing Committee on Economics, the Senate Economics Committee, and the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services. Noteworthy is Sam’s tenure as the National President of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA), during which he spearheaded the merging of the AFA with the Financial Planning Association (Australia) into what is now known as the Financial Advice Association of Australia (FAAA), the largest professional Association of Financial Advisers in Australia. Throughout his tenure, Sam demonstrated unwavering advocacy and dedication to advancing the Quality of Advice Review proposals, underscoring his commitment to improving the accessibility and affordability of financial advice in Australia and was awarded Fellowship of the FAAA in 2024.
