Philip Anderson

Phil Anderson is the CEO of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) and general manager transformation and interim general manager policy & advocacy at the FAAA. Anderson has spent 10 years in the professional association world in two different stints including working for a long time as the general manager policy and professionalism at the AFA. He has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years, having also worked with AMP, MLC, Perpetual, CFS and Netwealth. Anderson has been actively involved in financial advice policy and advocacy for over 10 years, including the Quality of Advice Review, implementation of the requirements of the Professional Standards legislation and the Royal Commission Recommendations. He has previously been integrally involved in the Future of Financial Advice, Tax Agent Services Act, Education/Professional Standards and Life Insurance Framework reforms. Anderson has a Bachelor and Masters of Commerce along with the DFP and ADFP Commission (ALRC).
