James Maydew

Joined Macquarie in 2022. Based in Sydney. James is Head of Global Listed Real Estate for Macquarie Asset Management (MAM), a core part of MAM’s Global Equity Boutique platform. He is responsible for all aspects of the group, including, investment team, portfolio construction, investment performance, risk management and clients. James commenced in the real estate industry in 2002, starting his career in unlisted real estate capital markets based in London before focussing on Listed markets. He has been investing in Global Listed Real Estate markets since 2007 and has been global head since 2016. James joined Macquarie as part of the acquisition of the AMP Capital team. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Investment and Finance from the University of Reading and is a fully accredited member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
