David Stephen

David Stephen is the chief executive of Ironbark Advice and Ironbark Private Wealth, responsible for executing the strategic plan in partnership with the leadership team and board. He leads the ongoing development of strategy, ensuring the business remains focused on sustainable growth, strong governance, and delivering meaningful outcomes for clients and communities. Since joining Invest Blue (now Ironbark) as a consultant in 2001, David has held advisory, strategy, and management roles across the organisation. Appointed director in 2008 and managing director in 2009, he has consistently demonstrated an ability to solve complex challenges and guide the business through growth and change. His areas of focus include strategic and business planning, financial management, and corporate governance. David is deeply committed to community involvement, co-establishing a volunteer group supporting St Vincent de Paul and contributing his time to local rugby. He values family, community, and, above all, rugby.
