2025 Advice Policy Summit

There was once broad consensus that the laws governing financial advice had become too wieldy and complex, with bipartisan political support for the objective of helping millions of unadvised Australians with their personal finances. But three years into process of reforming the advice laws and implementing the findings of the Quality of Advice Review, the path ahead is no more certain, and regulatory relief for the profession still seems out of reach, amid a string of legislative delays and closed-door disagreements between stakeholders.

The Professional Planner Advice Policy Summit brings together licensees, practice principals, practising advisers and super fund advice executives with key policymakers, regulators and independent experts to renew and refresh the project to democratise access to advice and have their say in the formulation of policy settings that will allow advice to thrive and expand its critical social function. It will engage in system design for the future of the profession.

This event is open to CEOs and senior leaders of financial planning licensees, dealer groups and boutique advice firms, along with C-suite executives in superannuation funds with oversight of advice, education and guidance.
