Rice Warner’s biennial report on superannuation fees reveals further downward pressure on fees, with overall fees for the industry averaging 1.21 per cent in the year to June 2008, down from 1.26 per cent in the year to June 2006. It also provides estimates of the cost of advice for the corporate, industry and public sector segments.

Super tax amendments in hands of crossbenchers
The body representing advisers to the almost $1 trillion self-managed super fund sector remains optimistic that its proposed amendments to a superannuation tax bill that were voted down in the lower house can be saved in the Senate, despite opposing voices in favour of the bill in its current state.
